    Our advice in short

    • Hepatitis A and DTP are the key vaccinations, including for family visits and all-inclusive holidays.
    • For longer stays or close contact with the local population we also advise hepatitis B and typhoid.
    • Drink only bottled water and be careful with ice cubes and unwashed raw food.
    • For visits to friends and relatives the risk of hepatitis A and typhoid is higher than on a hotel holiday.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need vaccinations for a week in Marrakech?

There are no mandatory vaccinations, but hepatitis A and an up-to-date DTP are advised for almost any trip to Morocco, including a short city break.

We are visiting family with children - what is needed?

For children hepatitis A is almost always worthwhile, alongside the routine national immunisations. For longer stays hepatitis B and typhoid come into play. Bring the vaccination record to your consultation.
