Which vaccinations do you need?
The required vaccinations depend on your destination, travel duration and personal health. During the consultation we discuss which vaccinations apply to you.

Meningococcal ACWY
Required for Hajj & UmrahProtects against meningitis caused by meningococcal bacteria types A, C, W and Y. This vaccination is mandatory for pilgrims to Saudi Arabia (Hajj and Umrah with Umrah visa).

Yellow Fever
Required for Africa & South AmericaProtects against yellow fever, a serious viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes. Found in tropical areas of Africa and South America. Many countries require proof of vaccination upon entry.

Hepatitis A – adults
Protects against liver inflammation caused by the hepatitis A virus. Often contracted through contaminated food or water in countries with lower hygiene standards. Important for travel to Asia, Africa, Central and South America.

2 doses with 6-12 months interval
Pain or redness at injection site, headache, fatigue. Usually disappears within a few days.
Hepatitis A – children up to 15 years
Pediatric dosage of the hepatitis A vaccine. Provides the same protection as the adult vaccine but is adjusted for children.

Hepatitis B – adults
Protects against chronic liver inflammation caused by the hepatitis B virus. Transmitted through blood and body fluids. Especially important for longer trips, medical contact, or risk behavior.

Hepatitis A + B (combination) – adults
Combination vaccine that protects against both hepatitis A and B. Efficient for travelers who need protection against both viruses.

DTaP (Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus)
Combination vaccine that protects against diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus. Especially important for pregnant women (baby protection) and people in contact with young babies.

Typhoid Fever
Protects against typhoid fever, a bacterial infection contracted through contaminated food or water. Found in areas with poor sanitary conditions, especially in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

MMR (Mumps, Measles, Rubella)
Protects against mumps, measles and rubella. Especially important if you are not or incompletely vaccinated. Measles is found worldwide and is highly contagious.

Mild fever, skin rash after 1-2 weeks. Temporary joint complaints.
Rabies – child under 1 year
Pediatric dosage of the rabies vaccine for babies. Protects against rabies, a deadly viral infection transmitted by bites from infected animals.

Basic protection, 2 extra doses needed after bite
3 doses: day 0, 7 and 21-28

Japanese Encephalitis (Ixiaro)
Protects against encephalitis caused by the Japanese encephalitis virus, transmitted by mosquitoes. Found in rural areas of Asia, especially during the rainy season.

Tick-borne Encephalitis (TBE)

Dengue (Qdenga)
Protects against dengue, a viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes. Found in tropical and subtropical areas. Recommended for travelers to risk areas, especially for longer stays.

Shingles (Shingrix)
Protects against shingles, a painful skin condition caused by the varicella-zoster virus (the same virus as chickenpox). Recommended for adults from 50 years or people with a weakened immune system.

Pain at injection site, fatigue, muscle pain, fever.
HPV Gardasil-9
Protects against the human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical cancer, throat cancer and genital warts. Recommended for young people and adults who have not yet been vaccinated.

Chikungunya (Ixchiq)
Protects against chikungunya, a viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes (the same mosquitoes as dengue). Causes fever and severe joint pain that can last for months to years. Found in tropical areas of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and South America.
