This checklist runs from six months before departure to the day itself. Use it alongside the information from your travel organiser, which is decisive for travel details.

Short answer
Start six months before departure with your passport and registration via hajj.nusuk.sa, arrange vaccinations and medication three months ahead, and pack documents and your travel kit in the final weeks. Meningococcal ACWY must be given at least ten days before arrival.
Planning your vaccination

Six to twelve months ahead
- Check your passport: machine readable and valid for at least six months on arrival
- Create an account at hajj.nusuk.sa and follow the announcements
- Compare approved providers and packages on the platform
- Set aside budget for the package plus personal expenses
Three months ahead
- Schedule your travel consultation and vaccinations
- Discuss chronic conditions and medication with your own doctor
- Request an English medication overview from your pharmacy
- Take out travel insurance with medical cover
- Start walking daily to build up your fitness
One month ahead
- Check that meningococcal ACWY is given at least ten days before arrival
- Make sure your international vaccination certificate is fully completed
- Request a statement for medicines with special rules if needed
- Break in your sandals and test your backpack on a long walk

Luggage
- Ihram clothing and enough clean clothing for the heat
- Comfortable, broken-in sandals and a small bag to carry them

- Power bank, adapter and a small amount of cash
