Registering for Hajj via Nusuk, in ten steps

Pilgrims from the Netherlands book their Hajj through Nusuk Hajj, the official platform of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Below are the ten steps the platform uses, in plain language.

    Short answer

European pilgrims register exclusively through hajj.nusuk.sa: create an account, upload documents, await verification, choose an approved provider and package, pay through the e-wallet and receive the visa. Creating an account does not yet reserve a place.

    Planning your vaccination

    • Meningococcal ACWY, required for Saudi Arabia
    • International vaccination certificate straight away
    • Evening and weekend appointments, every day 10:00 to 22:00

    Who can register through Nusuk?

    • Nusuk Hajj serves pilgrims from Europe, the Americas and Australia. The Netherlands is included; you register as a resident of the Netherlands, whatever your nationality.
    • Minimum age: pilgrims under twelve are not admitted.
    • Women may perform Hajj without a mahram (male guardian).
    • You add fellow travellers as companions to your account so you book one package together. A removed companion must open their own account.
    • If you live outside these regions, Hajj goes through your country's Hajj mission or national committee, not through Nusuk Hajj.

    The ten steps

    • 1. Create an account at hajj.nusuk.sa with your email address and country
    • 2. Upload your documents: a machine-readable passport and a recent photo
    • 3. Complete the application with your personal and travel details
    • 4. Wait for your application to be verified and approved
    • 5. Choose the category or price range that suits you
    • 6. Top up your e-wallet on the platform; the package is paid from it
    • 7. Review the approved service providers and their ratings
    • 8. Select the package that matches your wishes and budget
    • 9. Confirm the booking; the Hajj visa follows through the platform
    • 10. Check your itinerary, hotels and flights

Where things stand for Hajj 2027 (1448)

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah published the preparation document for Hajj 1448 on 29 May 2026. In September 2026 Nusuk Hajj still showed only the 1447 (2026) packages; no opening date for 1448 had been announced.

Based on previous seasons, registration runs in two stages: first an account with documents and preferences, then choosing, booking and paying for a package. You can already create an account and subscribe to the platform newsletter so you are notified when 1448 opens.

    Important to know

Creating an account does not reserve a place and does not guarantee a package. Places per country are limited and packages only become available later.

Book only through the official platform or an approved provider listed there. If you pay outside the platform, you fall outside the official arrangement.

The Hajj visa is issued through the platform as part of the package. A tourist or Umrah visa does not allow you to perform Hajj.

    What to prepare in advance

    • A machine-readable passport valid for at least six months on arrival. For Hajj 1448, Hajj committees advise validity until at least 31 December 2027.
    • Check that the surname field on your passport is filled in; an empty surname field causes problems in the application.
    • A recent passport photo with a white background, meeting the platform's requirements
    • Your medical details and a list of medicines by generic name
    • Your international vaccination certificate including meningococcal ACWY

Information about registration and packages is based on the official Nusuk Hajj platform of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Registration and payment take place there only; DKliniek provides the medical preparation.
