How much does Umrah cost?
The price of an Umrah varies widely. Below you can see where the differences come from and which costs come on top of the package.

Short answer
An Umrah package from the Netherlands costs roughly between 900 and 2,500 euro per person, depending on season, hotel distance to the Haram and trip length. Ramadan is the most expensive. Add vaccinations, insurance, meals and on-site spending. Always request the current price from your travel agency or via nusuk.sa.

What determines the price
- Season: Ramadan and school holidays are the most expensive, the summer months often the cheapest
- Distance from the hotel to the Masjid al-Haram: walking distance or shuttle bus
- Room occupancy: a quadruple room is considerably cheaper than a double room
- Trip length and whether Medina is part of the programme
- Direct flight or a connection
Costs on top of the package
- Vaccinations, including the required Meningococcal ACWY
- Travel and cancellation insurance with medical cover
- Meals if these are not included
- Transport between Jeddah, Mecca and Medina if booked separately
- Ihram clothing, gifts and on-site spending

Arrange your vaccinations in time
Meningococcal ACWY is required for entry to Saudi Arabia and must be given at least ten days before arrival. We also advise you on DTP, hepatitis A and your certificate.
